Luke became Head of Player Development and Wellbeing at the RPA in May 2022, having joined in 2018 and has worked as a Player Development Manager and Senior Development Manager across a number of clubs and international environments.

As the Head of Player Development and Wellbeing at the RPA, Luke oversees the highly acclaimed Gain Line Programme and the RPA’s team of Player Development Managers and Senior Player Development Managers, dedicated to enhancing the holistic growth of elite professional rugby players in England. The RPA Gain Line Programme champions initiatives that prioritise player wellbeing, career transition, and personal development, ensuring every player has the opportunity to thrive, on and off the field.

Prior to joining the RPA, Luke developed extensive experience across coach education, business development and education, holding senior roles including Head of Football at Coerver Coaching England & Wales whilst also having previously worked with Everton Football Club and Warwickshire College. Luke also teaches Athlete Personal Development and Lifestyle Qualifications across elite sport and education on behalf of TASS.

As a player, Luke played for and captained England Deaf Rugby in competitions all over the world for more than 10 years and since his retirement, continues to hold a role in the organisation as a Board Member.
