Originally from New Zealand, Pratt previously worked at the RFU, as a Rugby Development Officer and the Area Manager working across the North of England. He also worked for Huddersfield RUFC across a number of roles, including General Manager and Commercial Manager. He has played once for Otago RUFC in 1999.

He was also the Project Manager for the Families Fund for the RFU, which worked across a number of interventions to support new innovative ways of engaging young people and their families.
