Christian has an illustrious rugby career, playing for Northampton Saints, Sale Sharks and Stade Francais, making 220 Premiership Appearances, winning two Premiership titles.

He served as a Player Rep from 2011, before being elected RPA Chair from 2014-2017, before retiring and joining the organisation full-time. He was elected General Secretary in January 2023.
