RPA Collaborates With LooseHeadz

The Rugby Players Association (RPA) is delighted to announce a collaboration with Mental Health Charity LooseHeadz

Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week from the 15th – 21st May, the RPA is teaming up with leading Mental Health charity LooseHeadz to produce a social media led content series.

LooseHeadz has the aim of normalising the conversation to #TackleTheStigma that surrounds mental health, with an overall mission to place a ‘LooseHead’ at every rugby club in the world and provide them with a free toolkit of resources. They follow a process to prevent, promote, educate, and signpost around mental health, which is something the RPA is proud to support.

The collaboration will also see the two organisations co-create and deliver a number of workshops to clubs and retired players, as well as creating some bespoke merchandise, which will be available to purchase.

Speaking of the collaboration, James Bailey, RPA’s Wellbeing & Transition Manager, said: We are delighted to announce our collaboration with LooseHeadz . We will be working together on a number of key initiatives that we believe will have a positive impact and upskill our members in managing their mental fitness.

Rob Shotton, Co-Founder of LooseHeadz, added: “This is super exciting for us. With LooseHeadz having a big focus in the grassroots game, and the RPA solely focussing on the professional game, this collaboration means that we can reach and support more rugby players to tackle the stigma around mental health and make it a normal conversation.”
