Tom Croft Retires

The Rugby Players' Association (RPA) has today paid tribute to Leicester Tigers, England and British & Irish Lions forward Tom Croft who has been forced to retire due to injury.

RPA Group CEO Damian Hopley, said: “Tom Croft was a once in a generation rugby player. His footballing skills, remarkable pace and rugby brain were outstanding and the greatest loss is that injury robbed Tom of some precious years from his stellar career. Like every special player, Tom adapted his game and style throughout his career and I am sure he will apply the same determination and drive into the next and most important phase of his life. On behalf of rugby fans around the Aviva Premiership and around the rugby world I would like to thank Tom for all the joy he gave us whilst wearing the Leicester, England and Lions shirts with such distinction.”
