The Rugby Players’ Association (RPA) last night hosted their first Alumni evening, welcoming former players and business leaders to a unique networking evening, in association with the RPA’s official recruitment specialist Robert Walters.
The Rugby Players’ Association is the representative body and collective voice of professional rugby players in England. As part of its Player Development Programme (PDP), the RPA offers current and retired players careers advice to support their transition into life after rugby.
Former Wasps’ captain and Scotland international, Hugo Southwell, was forced to retire from professional rugby last year due to injury: “The transition from rugby to a new career is never an easy one. Tonight’s event offers former players the chance to socialise, share experiences and meet new business contacts, which is vitally important during this period of transition.
