RPA Joins Limor Conspiracy

1 1 v3

The Rugby Players' Association (RPA) has today joined Limor, an exciting new social media platform for audio and podcasting.

Launched by former Gloucester Rugby, Leinster and Connacht wing Shane Monahan, the Limor app combines the best aspects of social media with audio and podcasting in a way that has never been done before.

Limor removes the traditional barriers of entry often associated with audio and traditional podcast creation, while simultaneously bringing together content creators and listeners in a new social community. The app allows users to record, edit, share, listen to and replay audio and traditional podcasts instantly from their smart device in a social media environment. Users also have ability to talk directly to friends and followers via the revolutionary new voice commenting section.

Speaking to the RPA, Shane said: "I am absolutely delighted the RPA has joined the Limor social audio conspiracy. The RPA were always a massive help to me while I was playing in England for Gloucester, with my Personal Development Manager Josh Frape always there to support my off-pitch ambitions. Even now the RPA continue to support me on my entrepreneurial journey, for which I am very thankful. "In technological terms we are now in ‘the era of audio’, with all major technology companies spending billions on voice technology, trying to figure out how to corner the voice market. In social media terms, I have the answer with Limor. I'm leading the charge in the genre of social audio and the RPA are doing the same, they are one of the first organisations in the world to adopt social audio and I’m really looking forward to hearing their Limor content."

RPA Group CEO, Damian Hopley, said: "Shane has worked exceptionally hard both during and after his professional rugby career to develop a hugely impressive and innovative platform. The RPA is proud to be one of the first sporting organisations to sign-up to Limor; it provides an exciting and unique new way to connect with our members and the wider rugby community."
