The first RPA (Rugby Players’ Association) Business Club Networking Evening of the season recently took place in Bath, supported by Novia Financial plc. A number of the club’s first team and Academy players were in attendance to discuss life after rugby with an array of RPA business partners and representatives from across the region.
The RPA Business Club Networking Evenings are held across the country for players from each Aviva Premiership Club as part of The RPA Player Development Programme (PDP). The programme aims to individually assist players in their personal and professional development and provides them with skills for a smooth transition into life after rugby.
Richard Denning, Chief Operating Officer at Novia said: “We were delighted to once again be able to host such a successful and enjoyable networking evening with the RPA and Bath Rugby. Success in business I believe is inextricably linked with employing good people, skills such as teamwork, integrity and business drive are essential attributes and mirror those needed to win on the field. We continue to provide our work placement scheme for local players through the RPA and look forward to a victorious season for Bath.
