Championship Player of the Year 2018 Nominees

Congratulations to our three nominees for the Greene King IPA Championship Player of the Year Award!   Michael Le Bourgeois (Bedford Blues): “It’s a huge honour and has definitely put a big smile on my face. To be nominated for this award definitely comes down to the terrific club environment at Bedford, and the exciting style of game we’ve played this season. A big thanks to all my teammates and coaches for the encouragement, and to the club captains for nominating me for this award." Ian Madigan (Bristol Rugby): “It’s an absolute privilege to be nominated by my peers for this award. I would like to thank my Bristol teammates and coaches for making it possible for me to perform this season, because without their hard work it wouldn’t happen. A big thanks goes to Pat Lam and my teammates for making my job so easy.” Dan Thomas (Bristol Rugby) : “I am very humbled to be nominated by the club captains, it’s great recognition, and I’m really thankful for their support. It’s been a really positive season in the Championship, we have been exceptional as a club and we’re all massively excited to be back in the Premiership next year.”   The Greene King IPA Championship Player of the Year Award recognises the outstanding player of the 2017/18 season, as voted by the Championship club captains, and will be presented at the RPA Players' Awards 2018 in association with England Rugby on Wednesday 9th May at Battersea Evolution, London.
